No two athletes have the same schedule, experience or goals. Your plan is built around your training history, work, family, recovery and race calendar. Then it changes when life does.
A durable body that holds up through big training and holds its form late in races.
The right sessions, in the right order, for the hours you really have.
Fueling practiced in training, so race day is a repeat, not an experiment.
Confidence you’ve earned, and a plan for the hard moments.
A plan tells you what was supposed to happen. A coach helps you decide what should happen now.

For first-timers and experienced triathletes who want a stronger race without giving up their life to training.

For runners chasing their first 50K or their next 200-miler.

For marathoners chasing a BQ, or getting ready to run Boston.
Reviews from athletes I coach, word for word. “…” marks where a long review was shortened.
“Coach Joe works with me weekly to ensure the assigned training plan reflects my availability without compromising on the outcome on race day. I’ve worked with Coach Joe for around a year and have seen my 70.3 time drop by almost an hour!”
“At age 63, Coach Joe helped me qualify again, something I honestly wasn’t sure I could still do. Then amazingly I ran even faster, a faster time in Boston than I had in my qualifying race.”
“Five years ago, at 50, I decided to take on my first 200-mile ultramarathon. … Coach Joe doesn’t just get you to the starting line—he gets you there ready to perform.”
“Under his guidance, I have qualified for the World Championships twice, as well as the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships…”
“Joe helped get me in the best shape of my life, safely, and I completed my first triathlon in 5hr 14 minutes beating my goal by 16 minutes.”
“I asked for a training plan that addressed 3 aspects of my life: Family, Work, and Performance. He delivered.”

I’m Joe Beckerley, head coach at Fuel The Finish in Bend, Oregon. I’m a husband, a dad of two, a six-time Ironman, a Boston qualifier and an ultra runner.
I spent about 15 years in corporate management before coaching full time. I know the early alarms, the work trips and the weeks that don’t go to plan.
I’ve coached endurance athletes for 14+ years, from first-time finishers to World Championship qualifiers.
For marathoners chasing a BQ. Get your standard, a safe goal time with a buffer for the cutoff, race-day pace and a readiness score.

Yes. Coaching isn’t only for fast people. It’s for people who are committed to a goal. That’s the only requirement.
A plan gives you workouts. It can’t see your work trip, your bad night of sleep or your sore knee. I can. Each week I look at how you responded and adjust what comes next.
We talk through your goal, your training and your schedule, then decide together if coaching is a fit. No pressure either way.
